National Parks (Northern Circuit)
In Tanzania we have 16 national parks surrounded our country, and each national park divided into the zone. All of the zones there is a good logistics to reach by either roads, airports, or by water. Circuit zones divided into.
The Northern Circuit including (Mount Kilimanjaro, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater)
Southern Circuit including (Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Mikumi National Park and Kitulo Botanic Garden)
Eastern Circuit including (Mkomazi National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Arusha National Park).

Mount Kilimanjaro
The Mount Kilimanjaro is located in the Northern Tanzania right to the border to Kenyan republic in Eastern Africa. Rising abruptly from the open plains, capped by snow and frequently fringed by clouds. It is one of the Africa classic images. Kilimanjaro is a dormant but not extinct volcano.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire, with many African Elephants per square kilometers than any other national park in the country, lies about 120 Km southwest of Arusha City. The Park got its name from Tarangire. River that flows through the center of the park and form the dry season refuge for wildlife especially elephants.
It is in this Park that visitors will be able to see threatened as well as endangered species of such as ebony trees, Python, cheetah, elephants, African wild dogs, lesser and greater Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and others. Birdlife in Tarangire is just Amazing! About 550 species of birds have been recorded in the park, which is larger number of bird species than the famous Serengeti.
Lake Manyara National Park
On the floor of the Great Rift Valley lies Lake Manyara National Park. The rift valley escarpment wall gives the park a spectacular view. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, the Park, with its underground water forest support many lives especially the primates. Hot water springs is one of the rare geological features that give visitors to this area an opportunity to explore. The springs are 70 degrees warm enough to boil an egg!
For birdwatchers, the park is a paradise with more than 350 species of birds identified. More than two million flamingoes have been counted in the lake at the same time. An opportunity to walk on canopy is also available giving a bird-eye view of the ground water forest.
Serengeti National Park
The Maasai people call it “Siringet” meaning wide endless plains. A UNESCO’s world Heritage site and a biosphere reserve since 1981, Serengeti is one of the oldest, the largest and the best National Park in Africa. Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world with the greatest concentration of wild animals on the planet! This world-renowned Park is a sanctuary for last remaining annual mammal migration in the world.
The wildlife experience in this most famous park is unparalleled! Serengeti is home to the richest large predator-prey interactions worldwide and its plant and animal diversity is equally rich. There are more than 530 species of birds that has been recorded in Serengeti, a quarter of which migrates annually to or through the park. To witness these unique wonders, Serengeti offers game viewing, walking safaris, hot air balloon filming and photographic safaris.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game-elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals. Hominin fossils found in the Olduvai Gorge date back millions of years.
